How To Kill Your Political Career, Grope Your Date in Public!

Congresswoman Boebert loves being in the news. She is what we call an attention addict. She craves being in front of a camera and needs that like a Herion addict needs that next fix to get through their horrible day. This attention freak will do whatever is required to have her face plastered in the 6 P.M. news, saying the most outlandish things she can to get attention. And she has uttered some pretty fantastic and dumbass stuff during her two-term tenure as the Congressional representative of Colorado’s 3rd District. But this time, this nitwit is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

At this point, I need to offer a reference point for my complete and utter disdain for this individual. I have a specific view of how Congress and the Senate members were to behave. It starts with respecting the office and the people who elected you to that office.

Congressional Representatives and United States Senators are put there by those who vote for them, and they do so because they fully expect those they elect will represent them fairly and, most of all, HONORABLY.

For me, voting is a sacred right. So, when I cast my vote for my Congressional Representative and Senators, I do so while remembering what those who look like me sacrificed so I could have the right to vote in what we call free and fair elections our Constitution has promised us as citizens of the country.

We have the right to expect our elected officials to perform their duties honorably and not disgrace themselves, their families, or their constituents. I feel safe in saying most Congressional Reps and Senators carry out their duties with honor and respect and are mindful of their constituency. But then you have individuals such as Lauren Boebert who believe they can behave however they want. As the video shows, she and her date did while attending a performance of Beetlejuice.

Instead of behaving like adults at the show, Boebert felt she could do what she wanted because of her position as United States Congressional Rep. So I guess in her mind, that meant vaping when taking pictures of the show, fully knowing both activities were not allowed. She is a United States Congresswoman. In her mind, that permits her to behave like an ass and sexual deviant. How else do you explain her allowing him to group her breasts flagrantly, and she returns the favor by messaging his penis?

Regrettably, this behavior isn’t exclusively confined to idiot Republicans like Boebert. It’s impossible to forget Bill and Monica’s infatuation fellation in the Oval Office. This act of stupidity by a sitting President got Clinton impeached, and rightfully so.

Everyone who behaves stupidly like Boebert and Clinton thinks because they hold a political office, that office gives them the right to be total assholes. It doesn’t. It should remind them they have a solemn responsibility to always be on their best behavior.

Congresswoman Boebert will be in the hot seat for some time for her dumb actions. She has no one to blame but herself. And her current act of contrition is wanting on numerous levels. Boebert said the following in the form of an apology:

The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I’m truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver has brought to the community. While none of my actions or words as a private citizen that night were intended to be malicious or meant to cause harm, the reality is they did and I regret that.

“There’s no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made for a challenging personal time for me and my entire family. I’ve tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can, but I simply fell short of my values on Sunday. That’s unacceptable and I’m sorry.

“Whether it was the excitement of seeing a much-anticipated production or the natural anxiety of being in a new environment, I genuinely did not recall vaping that evening when I discussed the night’s events with my campaign team while confirming my enthusiasm for the musical. Regardless of my belief, it’s clear now that was not accurate; it was not my or my campaign’s intention to mislead, but we do understand the nature of how this looks. We know we will have to work to earn your trust back, and it may not happen overnight, but we will do it.

“I’m deeply thankful to those in the 3rd District who have defended me and reached out this week and offered grace and support when I needed it the most. I’ve learned some humbling lessons these past few days but I vow moving forward, I will make you proud.”

It will be no surprise that I find this so-called apology a boatload of horseshit. Boebert is blaming her x-rated conduct on her going through a divorce, which is weak. Thousands of people go through divorces daily and don’t behave like wannabe porn stars in public. What she is doing is clear. She follows the advice of some image repair expert she likely hired because she knows her behavior that night is often career-ending. For her, it should be. She won re-election by 600 votes. Her performance on September 10th will most likely give her Democratic opponent, Adam Frisch, a clear win in 2024.

She concludes her fake apology: “I’ve learned some humbling lessons these past few days but I vow moving forward, I will make you proud.” Individuals like her don’t learn from their mistakes. They keep making them because they cannot help themselves. Also, I feel safe in saying the good people of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District know they can do better with an individual such as Adam Frisk, a serious candidate, and Boebert is the Leopord who can’t change its spots. Boebert has far too many times done downright stupid stuff during her two terms in Congress. She is woefully ignorant, refuses to learn, and believes snappy insults will get her by. But her last election indicates the citizens have had enough of her antics. As to someone with the character of Lauren Boebert, Hamilton said it best in Federalist 68.

It will not be too strong to say that there will be a constant probability of seeing the station filled by characters pre-eminent for ability and virtue.

One thing is consistent with Lauren Boebert: she does not have the ability and certainly lacks all virtue.
